It's gorgeous and when it is in the groove it plays incredibly well. That said, there are difficulty spikes throughout the game, even pretty early on, that might sorely test patience or even get people to give up. It could either desperately use some level tuning (some jumps are a holy mess) or even a difficulty switch to tone it down in places. You'll cruise and have a great time but the BAM it kicks your ass hard. Very true to Monster Boy, and truly great when it rolls, but unbalanced.
