My playlenght btw (only casual storyrun, no 100% run or anything) was 29 hours

Do love Final Fantasy games. Story was decent, combat doable, cutscenes were quite nice. First 80% of the game was a breeze through and felt great, kept playing. I did struggle with the last 20% though, amount of simply annoying bossfights backed up with 0 reasoning. Overall a decent Final Fantasy game but still wouldnt be to high in my final fantasy ranking

Since the game never introduces these and there's no electronic manuals on Switch, know this: some of the added features (like ability to turn off random battles and high speed mode) are accessed in the Pause screen.

The fancy and frumpy parts of this port really contrast with each other. Character models in high definition and with textures better than ever, layered on top of pre-rendered backgrounds looking blurrier than ever. Battle frame rate is still as bad as it was on PS1, but the damage/healing numbers that show over the action are clearly animating at a higher rate.

Incredible RPG but Square Enix's lack of concern for addressing the port issues after all this time us unforgivable. I would recommend waiting for a patch to see if they fix the issues before dropping $21. SMH
