    Darksiders Warmastered Edition

Deceived by the forces of evil into prematurely bringing about the end of the world, War – the first Horseman of the Apocalypse – stands accused of breaking the sacred law by inciting a war between Heaven and Hell. In the slaughter that ensued, the demonic forces defeated the heavenly hosts and laid claim to the Earth.

    EriChaos says:
Similar to God of War with it's puzzle mechanics and kill cutscenes, I found myself playing this hack 'n slash more than my other Switch games for a long while. There was something about slicing hellspawn with Chaoseater (War's Sword) that was addicting, alongside earning souls (the game's currency) to unlock access to new moves to use in combat. My friends say it gets old quick, but I'd say it's pretty addicting to keep playing further to unlock access to more combat techniques and abilities.

And if you're one that prefers FPS to graphics, or one that loves having games look amazing at the sacrifice of framerate, the options menu has both options to choose from. "High Quality" has the backgrounds and textures look better from distances and up close, at the stable framerate of 30FPS. "High Performance" has the textures lose some detail, but keeps framerate near 60FPS. However, depending on the amount of enemies and the flairs from the moves you use, the FPS can dip into the lower 50's. I found myself using the "Quality" setting more, because the frame change is quite apparent and is sometimes distracting from the actual gameplay.

If you haven't tried the 1st Darksiders, I definitely would give this one a good playthrough. There's many hours of content here to hack through, literally!
